New in version 6.2

  • Improved on modem detection.

    New in version 6.1

  • Fixed annoying continious error display when trying to exit while logging on.

    New in version 6.0

  • TX Only.
    It has been noted that in some modems, only the TX (transmit) works and no RX (receive) is noticable.
    This has now been fixed and makes MySignal compatible to all modems.

  • Measuring.
    As with time it has been found that 50% is about the maximum signal that can be obtained.
    Therefore the Signal Measuring Monitor has had its maximum set to 50 rather than 100, thus giving a much bigger and clearer display.

    New in version 5.9

  • MySignal Operation.
    The manner in which MySignal scans the modem and logs on has now been updated as several bugs were found with the old 'quick' system where MySignal needed to be exited and restarted for it to syncronize correctly.
    This has been fixed and although the scanning process is a bit slower it is 80% more accurate and positive.

  • Domain Setting
    The bug with the www being added to the logon Domain has been fixed.

  • AutoStart
    The intermittent Autostart has been fixed.

  • Desktop Icon
    The Desktop Icon not being saved on first time installation and startup is fixed.

  • AutoQuit
    Up to now whenever MySignal did an optional number of restarts and the "Modem Reset" option was used, MySignal lost sync and could not rescan the frquency band.
    During a timed Modem Reset, MySignal will now quit altogether and to a restart so as to scan all the necessary frequencies.

  • Config Password
    If this option is selected then the logon password is needed for MySignal to show the Config Menu.
    This was added as a security requirement for Admin.

  • Logon Password
    This operation has been updated and for security reasons, is no longer available in the ini file, but sets itself in the Registry.

  • Logs folder
    A seperate Logs folder has now been added for all the MySignal logs.

  • Log Display
    A seperate log display menu is now available in the Utility Tab.

  • Network Logo
    Added a small 350 x 50 Logo option in the fron Network Tab.
    Daily logoff
    This option has been added in the AutoLogoff for logging off Daily.

  • Additional frequency
    In many cases the frequency of 2542 mhz is now being used and an option.

  • Keep Alive
    All the Keep Alive options has been removed as this is no longer necessary.

  • AT commands
    The options of setting this has been removed from the menu and is now only available in the MySignal.ini file.
    This is for security reasons as request by several Admin.

  • Network Viewlogs
    This button has been removed as it has been replace in the Utility Tab.

    MySignal.ini

    [MySignal.Configs]

    ReConnectAuto=True
    Enables/Disables the AutoReconnect retry of the connection after a failure.

    ReConnectTime=15
    Waiting period before Auto Reconnect connection retried.

    ReConnectScan=True
    Enables/Disables the Tower rescan before a connection retry.

    ReConnectSignal=3
    If ReConnectScan=True and ReConnectTime >= 15 then if the signal strength is below ReConnectSignal, MySignal will not retry a connection but instead scan again after a further ReConnectTime delay.
    However should a signal be present after the scan and is equal or greater to ReConnectSignal, it will immediately connect and not wait for further Timeout.

    ReConnectReset=True
    Enables/Disables modem 'hard' reset after repeated connect failures.

    ReConnectRetry=10
    Number of failed retries before 'hard' reset of modem.

    AutoStartup=False
    Enables/Disables Auto Startup of MySignal on reboot of PC.

    AppendLog=False
    Selects whether to append to, or clear the log file when launching MySignal.

    ATCommands=False (Available in the ini only)
    Enables/Disables the [AT Commands] button on [Utility] tab Toolbar.

    LogInterval=24
    Number of hours that passes before samples are logged to the logfile.

    DoLogInterval=True
    Enables/Disables LogInterval operations.

    CapAmount=500
    The total amount in Megabytes of the Cap induced by the ISP.

    CapDisconnect=False
    Enables/Disables whether the modem should disconnect when the Cap is reached.

    ConfigProtect=False
    If True the Config menu requires the logon password to show.

    ExtraFrequency=False
    In some places the 4th frequency of 2542 mhz is used and can now be enabled.

    AutoLogoff=False
    If True, MySignal will logoff at the date and time specified.

    [MySignal.Sounds]

    PlayConnectSound=True
    Enables/Disables the playing of a sound when on connect.

    ConnectWaveSound=
    Wave file to play on connect. A default sound is used if blank.
    The wavefile must be placed in the folder where MySignal is installed.

    PlayDisConnectSound=True
    Enables/Disables the playing of a sound when on disconnect.

    DisConnectWaveSound=
    Wave file to play on disconnect. A default sound is used if blank.
    The wavefile must be placed in the folder where MySignal is installed.

    NB. All .wav sound files must go in the MySignal\Sounds folder.

    The Auto Reconnect feature has been functionality enhanced with the addition of a rescan of the Tower and Signal information before the connection retry.
    If ReConnectTime is 15 or longer and ReConnectScan=True, then when a Connection Dropped is detected the Auto Reconnect waiting period countdown timer is set to ReConnectTime.
    The Tower and Signal information will be re-scanned when the countdown timer reaches 12 and 6 seconds before the connection retry.
    If the Towers Signal Strength does not equal or exceed the ReConnectSignal level, then the Retry will abort and the ReConnectTime will again be set for another waiting period countdown.
    This will continue until the signal strength exceeds the ReConnectSignal level, when a reconnection will be done.
    The updated Tower and Signal information appears in the display log, as well as the number of retries.
    Auto Reconnect now also operates after a failed manual connection attempt if ReConnectAuto=True.
    The Auto Reconnect sequence can be stopped by pressing the Disconnect button.
